The Information Technology and Support Services Department is responsible for the installation, service and support of all administrative and academic technologies throughout the district. We maintain the entire network infrastructure including over 3000 computers. All buildings have wired and wireless networks and Windows servers to provide internet access to all students and staff.
Technology not only enhances the learning experience of our students it is also an important part of their future.
Below you will find some information to help you get started.
After you were hired, you received a Network Account Request Form. This form will inform IT who you are and what you need. We can then open your account and give you access to the necessities to begin infusing technology and learning. By filling out this form you will receive the following:
- District Login
- Network Storage (T: Drive)
- Phone extension (if applicable)
- MyLearningPlan.com access

If you ever experience an issue with district computers, telephones, or a particular software package provided by the district, contact the HelpDesk immediately either at extension 5555 or IT.HelpDesk@plainfield.k12.nj.us. When contacting the HelpDesk, always be sure to have a few basic pieces of information: Your name, exact location (school and room#), contact information, asset tag# & problem.
