| Plainfield High School and Barack Obama Academy students participated in the Platinum Minds Entrepreneurial \Leadership Symposium on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Delbarton Prep School in Morristown, New Jersey. Students were exposed to the core values of leadership, integrity, self discipline, excellence and community services. The students who participated were Gabriel Ocasio (BOAAD) and Charles Boyd (PHS). Kevin Stansbury, Site Administrator of BOAAAD, Hasan Johnson, PHS School Social Worker and Denise Shipman, Coordinator of Pupil Progression, also attended as school leaders. | ||||||

| Consistent with Goal 5: Community & Family Engagement of the 2008-2012 District Strategic Plan, Cedarbrook K-8 Center hosted a career exploration assembly for students in Grade 8. This session was held on Friday, October 15, 2010 and was hosted by District Administrator, Denise Shipman. Students were engaged in an intimate discussion about the opportunities available after graduation. | ||||||
