July 1, 2009 – The Plainfield Public Schools held the 2009 8th Grade Promotional Activities for Hubbard and Maxson Middle Schools on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Dr. Gallon would like to recognize and commend both principals---Mr. Anthony Jenkins and Ms. Gwynetta Joe for their leadership and organization of these activities. Both were well attended by parents and family members who gathered to support the students in their transition to high school. Superintendent Gallon provided key words of inspiration to the students at both events. Also present was Board Member Mrs. Wilma Campbell who attended both Maxson and Hubbard Middle School’s Promotional Ceremonies. Board Members Mrs. Patricia Barksdale and Mrs. Katherine Peterson attended the Maxson Promotional Ceremony.
