Consistent with Goal 5: Community & Family Engagement of the 2008-2012 District Strategic Plan, the Plainfield Public Schools, in collaboration with the City of Plainfield will sponsor Family Movie Nights this summer.  This initiative, scheduled to run from July 14, 2010 – August 11, 2010, is designed to engage our students, parents, and community members in an evening of quality family time.  A copy of the flyer has been provided in your packet.

The Pupil Progression Department provided intensive professional development to the college interns for summer learning. The professional development was held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The professional development was in collaboration with the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Summer Program Staff.

Consistent with Goal 5: Community & Family Engagement of the 2008-2012 District Strategic Plan, the Plainfield Public Schools is proud to present the PPS Video Gallery.  This new feature will be housed on the district website and will provide all stakeholders an opportunity to witness key events within our school community.  The first installment of videos highlights memorable moments of the 2010 Commencement Ceremony.  Interim Superintendent Belin-Pyles comments the Office of Public Information & Marketing & the Office of Information Technology & Support Services for this effort.
