Example 1

Stillman Elementary School - Principal's Corner

April showers bring May flowers!  There are only seven weeks of school left.  We will be doing a lot of great things this month.  First, let’s recap April.

  • The students finished taking their ACCESS testing during the week of April 4, 2017.  This assessment measures the students acquisition of English.
  • On April 27, 2017 our 3, 4, & 5th grade students began taking the PARCC assessment.  They will be finished on Friday, May 5, 2017.
  • On April 24, 2017, we had a very successful Science Fair.  Congratulations to our winners!
  • We also had our school based battle of the books competition.  The winners of the competition were the team “CHAMPIONS”, yes, that is the name of the team.

As you can see, Stillman is still on the move.  We have a few things that we want to highlight as we are in the month of May.

  • On May 15, 2017, we will be celebrating our moms.  We will be having muffins for mommies.  Our moms will have a chance to visit classrooms and then have muffins, coffee, tea, etc. with the administrative team.
  • Come watch our team compete in the “Battle of the Books” competition on May 17, 2017.
  • On May 15, 2017, we will be holding a kindergarten open house at Emerson School.  Please come out.
  • On Thursday, May 24, 2017, we will be having our Fun Day.  This year, because we will be off school grounds we are going to be selling shirts so that our students will be recognizable.  The cost of the shirt will be $10.00.  All students must purchase a t-shirt in order to participate.
  • On Monday, May 31, 2017, our 4th graders will be taking the NJASK Science assessment.
  • Our PTO meeting will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 6:00 pm.  Please come out.

Remember Our Motto…Building Leaders One at A Time.

Sincerely,

Mr. Mark A. Williams Principal,

C. H. Stillman Elementary School
