They introduce academic vocabulary, practice it with games and reading assignments, and end with students trying their own raps. A variety of levels; probably not for Tier C in High School. Free during coronavirus closure.

Try MobyMax through Clever.com - single sign in (It’s easier to remember 1 password). Teacher can set the reading level or have students take placement tests. The exercises are game-like, and they have a games area for rewards.
Advanced ELL Learners (Tier B & C)
https://www.gutenberg.org/browse/scores/top Project Gutenbuerg is a free online library of 60,000 free e-books in over 50 languages. The books are public domain titles, which essentially means the classics of literature ranging from Edgar Allan Poe to Virgil. Due to the fact that most of the stories are in a more classical style of English, this resource is best for more advanced ELL students.

All Tiers
www.quill.org Fantastic writing resource for students can practice writing and proofreading on their devices. They can log in with their Google accounts.
https://en.islcollective.com/ A great and free resource for teachers to find ESL worksheets. For parents who want to homeschool their students over the next few weeks, they can find hundreds of different ESL worksheets here. It can be accessed with a Google account or Facebook.
Listening

Duolingo App for the I-pad is another great games-oriented resources for students.
