Dear Barlow Elementary Parents, Guardians and Community,
Spring is in the air; therefore, our school year is quickly approaching its end! However, there is plenty of time for our Scholars to continue to grow, learn and be creative!  For optimum success, it is very important that our Scholars come to school every day well rested, ready to learn and on time each day!

The month of May will bring on the “Testing Season” please note that all grade levels will be partaking in End of Year Assessments to measure their levels of growth. Therefore, please ensure that your child is well rested and ready to fully participate in these important sessions.

This time of the year also brings special recognition to all our Faculty / Staff Members; May is the Month for Teacher Appreciation, let’s give our faculty / staff a BIG THANK YOU for their dedication and hard work to the Best Teachers in the World!!!

Listed below are “some” of the events occurring here at Barlow in May for you to add to your calendar!

• Half-Day Session on Monday, May 5th w/ a 12:30 PM Dismissal!

• Teacher Appreciation Week ~ Monday, May 5th – Friday, May 9th!

• NJSLA Testing for Grades 3-5 begins on Tuesday, May 13th

  ends on Tuesday, May 20th! 

• Parent Effectiveness Virtual Session on Wednesday, May 21st at 6:00 PM!

• Spring Concert on Thursday, May 22nd w/ Two Shows 5:30 PM & 7:00 PM!

• School Closed on Monday, May 26th for observance of Memorial Day!

Estimados padres de familia, tutores y comunidad de Barlow,

La primavera ya llegó y se siente en el aire; ¡Por lo tanto, nuestro año escolar se acerca rápidamente a su final! Sin embargo, aún hay mucho tiempo para que nuestros estudiantes sigan creciendo, aprendiendo y siendo creativos. ¡Para que el éxito sea absoluto, es muy importante que nuestros alumnos vengan todos los días a la escuela muy descansados, listos para aprender y a tiempo!

El mes de mayo traerá la “temporada de pruebas”, tenga en cuenta que todos los niveles de grao participarán en las evaluaciones de fin de año para medir sus niveles de crecimiento. Por lo tanto, asegúrese de que su hijo/a este bien descansado y listo para participar plenamente en estas importantes sesiones.

Esta época del año también se celebra un reconocimiento especial a todos nuestros profesores / personal; ¡Mayo es el mes para la apreciación de los maestros, démosles un GRACIAS MUY GRANDE a nuestra facultad / personal por su dedicación y arduo trabajo a los Mejores Maestros del Mundo!

• ¡Medio Dia Escolar: ¡Despedida a las 12:30 PM!

• ¡La Semana de Agradecimiento a los Profesores 5 – 9 de mayo!

• ¡Pruebas de NJSLA comenzará el martes, 13 de mayo, para los grados 3-5 hasta el martes, 20 de mayo!

• ¡Taller Virtual para los Padres el miércoles, 21 de mayo a las 6:00 PM

• ¡El Concierto de Primavera el jueves, 22 de mayo a las 5:30 y 7:00 PM

• ¡La escuela estará cerrada el lunes, 26 de mayo por la observancia (respeto) del Día de los Caídos!
