PLAINFIELD, NJ – November 3, 2023 – The Plainfield Public School District is proud to announce that it is one of 240 New Jersey school districts that has been awarded a High Impact Tutoring Grant, securing a total of $768,000 to further enhance educational opportunities for students in grades three and four throughout the district. This significant achievement underscores the commitment of Plainfield educators and administrators to provide quality education and support to the students of the community.
The High Impact Tutoring Grant, which is administered by the New Jersey Department of Education, aims to improve student outcomes by providing targeted, high-quality tutoring services. This grant recognizes the dedication and innovative efforts of the Plainfield Public School District in addressing the unique learning needs of its students.
Jean-Marie Gordon, Ed. D., Chief of Instruction and Programs, expressed her enthusiasm regarding this grant and its potential impact on Plainfield's students. She said, "Receiving the High Impact Tutoring Grant is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our educators, staff, and administrators. This funding will allow us to expand our tutoring programs, offering personalized support to students who need it most. Superintendent of Schools Rashon K. Hasan, Ed. S., also emphasized the importance of this grant for the district.
