STATEMENT ON TEMIKE PARK PLAYGROUND
PLAINFIELD, NJ- October 22, 2024 – The Plainfield Public School district is deeply saddened to hear of the recent report that an of incident occurred at Tëmike Park Playground, involving two of our high school students. This act of vandalism resulted in severe damage to the playground structure. Currently, only one student has been caught in connection with this incident. The other is currently being located by the police.
Our district stands firmly against any behavior that endangers the safety of our community or causes harm to public property. Acts of violence and vandalism will not be tolerated in our district. We are committed to ensuring that our schools and community spaces remain safe for all to enjoy.
We appreciate the swift responses of our district team members and local authorities and encourage our community to continue to work together.
